Stone Denies Abandoning Britain

The You Had Me hitmaker has spent a lot of time in the U.S. over the years recording her albums with top producers including Raphael Saadiq.

She was even ridiculed at the 2007 Brit Awards in London when she spoke with an American twang - but Stone insists she would never give up her British home for life abroad.

She says, "Contrary to what is written about me I have not moved to the States. I still live in Devon and have done since I was eight.

"I get homesick for the place even if I've been away for two weeks."
