Stewart Is Wanted To Replace Jolie
KRISTEN STEWART has been approached to take over from ANGELINA JOLIE in an upcoming WANTED sequel, according to reports.
Jolie starred as a deadly assassin in the first film, alongside Scottish actor James MCAvoy, who recently revealed producers have been working on plans for a sequel.
The proposed follow-up was thrown into jeopardy after Jolie reportedly pulled out of the project, but movie bosses are now considering moving forward with another actress in the lead role.
Stewart is said to have been approached to play a young assassin, while MCAvoy will reprise his role from the original 2008 film, according to E! Online.
A source tells the website, "Our insider says Kristen was approached to fill Jolie's hot-woman void in the franchise and met at least once with Timur Bekmambetov, the director of the series."
