Music producer-turned-reality Tv star Stevie J has been released on $25,000 (£15,625) bond following his arrest in Georgia for allegedly failing to pay over $1 million (£625,000) in child support payments.
The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star was taken into custody on Monday (09Jun14) after he was accused of failing to pay an ex-girlfriend a total of $1,107,412 (£692,132) in back child support for their two children.
Following his release on Wednesday (11Jun14), he told the Associated Press, "It feels great. I'm home with my wife. I'm just ready to get this behind me."
In 1999, Stevie J, who used to date rapper Eve, was ordered to pay nearly $6,600 (£4,125) per month in child support and in 2011, the amount was increased to $8,600 (£5,375).
Prosecutors claim he has not sent any payments for several years, but his lawyer, Daniel Meachum, insists the allegations are false.
Meachum says, "We plan on proving that if there is an amount owed, it is definitely not a million dollars, nor anything close to that amount."
The Californian rockers were defiant in their intention to play the venue once again.
