Steven Tyler Serenaded By Girl Group On American Idol
STEVEN TYLER, the Aerosmith frontman and AMERICAN IDOL judge, was serenaded by a girl group on yesterday's show, reports Musicrooms.net.The 62-year-old was delighted when he was invited up on to the stage by a group of young hopefuls who performed a rendition of the soul hit 'Some Kind of Wonderful'. The rocker smiled and laughed as the girls surrounded him and he even sang a few lines himself as they held out their microphone. Despite Jennifer Lopez calling the performance 'cute', only one of the girls was deemed good enough to make it through to the next round and the rest were eliminated. Earlier in the show, Tyler had entertainment the crowd by leaping up on stage and taking to the drums as the audience waited for one contestant who was running late for his group's audition.
Early favourites on this year's show include CHRIS MEDINA, who wowed the judges with an emotional rendition of The Script's 'Breakeven' at the auditions. The 26-year-old, from Oak Forest, Illinois, introduced his wife-to-be Juliana to the judges, who became brain damaged following a car crash in 2009.
