Steven Tyler Says Sorry For What Nicki Minaj Perceived to be Racist Comments

After a very public outburst from Nicki Minaj, who thought Steven Tyler's comments about her judging on American Idol, the Aerosmith singer has issued an apology, but maintains his words weren't racist, and neither is he!

"I apologize if it was taken wrong, Nicki," the Aerosmith rocker said Tuesday on eTalk, a Canadian entertainment show. "But I am the farthest from [being a racist]," he said. "I am the last thing on this planet as far as being a racist. I don't know where she got that out of me saying I'm not sure how she would've judged Bob Dylan." Miss Minaj was far from happy when Tyler said she "would have sent [Dylan] to the cornfield" if he'd come on Idol. But Tyler insisted he only meant, "if Bob Dylan came on the show, he would've been thrown off." We're not sure how she made the connection between that comment and apparent racism, but she did. "Maybe I spoke out of turn, but a racist I'm not, Nicki," Tyler added, assertively.

Minaj has very quickly cultivated a reputation for being outspoken and difficult to work with, just ask the last Idol judge that got into a war of words with her (yes, we're looking at you Mariah Carey). In fact, her fast and sharp tongue is becoming more famous when she uses it for arguing than it is rapping, which is pretty bad news, for a supposed rapper.
