Steven Tyler Leads The Newest American Idol Exodus

Steven Tyler definitely wont be appearing on the next season of American Idol, as he no longer wants to continue neglecting his band in favour of the show.

The Aerosmith front man has told TMZ that whilst he "loved every minute" of his time on the show, he now wants to commit himself towards "bringing rock back" with his soon-to-be no longer neglected band.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez will also be joining with the exodus, as contract talks between her and the show's producers broke down. The diva apparently wanted a $2 million pay increase to carry on her role behind the judging table, raising her salary from $15 million to $17 million in her second series.

J-Lo has also said that she too would like to commit herself to her music once more, as well as her two children.

It is believed that Mariah Carey is currently the frontrunner for one of the chairs behind the judging desk, whilst KANYE WEST MARY J. BLIGE, Lenny Kravitz, Katy Perry and former Idol contestant Adam Lambert are also said to be in the running for one of the two spots up for grabs.

According to The Daily Mail and 'several other reports', veteran judge Randy Jackson is said to also be considering role on the show after 11 seasons in the judge's seat.

Adam would be great because he would be critical and not wishy washy. IDOL, however, is a sinking ship even though I'd be happy with the ratings...it's still up there. If Adam gets on and it tanks further as I suspect it will no matter who is judging, Adam will get the blame. He's been unfairly treated in my opinion in America. Please do an article on Adam's stellar performances with Queen in Europe. He is gettting rave reviews. I hope he continues with Queen for a while and a few shows are done in America. He is the consumate performer. IDOL seems to like the John Mayer wannabees, so the winners are always white guys behind guitars. Scotty McCreery sent me over the edge with his bad pitch and awful old country sound (I'm not a country fan). Only in America!

Adam Lambert would be great because he wouldn't be wishy washy...he'd be critical. But I truly wish he'd tour more with Queen. He has been fabulous but of course no one is talking about that. If he has a fight with his boyfriend, it's all over the news. But his great performances with Queen in front of thousands you don't write about. Please do an article about his Hammersmith shows. IDOL is a sinking ship and everyone knows it. No one can fix it, no judge will change it. If Adam goes on the show and it tanks, he'll get the blame. He has been unfairly treated in my mind for one bad incident.
