Steve Harvey To Create 100 New Jobs With Television Return
Harvey, 55, will shoot the new show at NBC Tower's studios in Chicago, and plans to bring a "funny, fresh, insightful and common sense approach to life's every day moments". The show will cover a vast range of issues, including, "marriage, dating, parenting, workplace, friendship and the daily dramas we face throughout our lives, all with his unique comedic spin". President and general manager of Nbc 5 Chicago Larry Wert said in a statement, "We are thrilled to host and launch the new 'Steve Harvey' show at Nbc Tower.This production will create new jobs and a destination for studio audiences here in Chicago". The show is expected to generate around 100 new jobs in the Illinois area, according to Governor Quinn's office, and Nbc Universal estimate the show could bring around 35,000 audience members and visitors to Chicago each year.
As well as his television work, Steve Harvey is also the author of numerous books including 'Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man: What Men Really Think About Love, Relationships, Intimacy, and Commitment'. He caused controversy while appearing on Tyra Banks' show in 2009 by suggesting women should not date atheists.| Comment on this article |
