Steve Earle - Steve Earle To Write Memoirs

Country rock icon Steve Earle has signed a deal to write his memoirs.
Grand Central Publishing bosses have announced they've secured the singer/songwriter's autobiography.
Calling the memoir "the book I swore I would never write", Earle tells the publishers changed his mind when they "made me an offer I couldn't understand!"
The tome will chronicle his friendship with mentor Townes Van Zandt, his drug issues and recovery.
Earle is also planning to write a new novel, which will centre on a slave who "survived the battle of the Alamo".
The singer has previously published the novel I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive and the short story collection Doghouse Roses.
