Stefani To Boycott Vmas?

New mum Gwen Stefani will reportedly boycott tomorrow's (31AUG06) MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), because she left last year's (05) ceremony with only two minor awards.
The No Doubt singer received six nominations for the 2005 VMAs, but was stunned when American Idol star Kelly Clarkson beat her in most of the categories. Stefani only picked up gongs for Best Choreography for HOLLABACK GIRL and Best Art Direction for WHAT YOU WAITING FOR.
Website PageSix.com reports Stefani was so unhappy with the snub she received from MTV last year, she is refusing to attend this year.
An insider says, "She had a ton of nominations and was under the impression she would be taking home at least one main award. But every award went to Kelly Clarkson, and every time Kelly won, the camera went straight to Gwen. She felt set up."
The insider claims Stefani thought she was going to close the show with a performance - but Clarkson was given that honour instead.
