Staunton's Ring Stolen On Set

Veteran British actress Imelda Staunton was left reeling on the set of her latest TV show, after her wedding ring was stolen from her handbag.

The Harry Potter star appears in BBC drama Cranford alongside her husband Jim Carter, and the couple recently celebrated their anniversary.

Carter treated his wife to a new ring to mark the occasion - because her original one was taken from her bag on set.

He says, "We celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary. I bought her a new ring because the last one was stolen. She took it off and put it in her handbag and it was stolen in the studio. It's disappointing and upsetting but it's just one of those things."
