Ryan Gosling - Stars Turn Out For The Ides Of March Premiere
George Clooney's much anticipated thriller 'The Ides Of March' finally saw its premiere taking place last week in New York, following sizzling reviews throughout the early Autumn's film festivals.
The political-based film sees a new presidential candidate have his eyes opened to the world of politics whilst on the campaign trail and stars Ryan Gosling, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood, Paul Giamatti and Phillip Seymour Hoffman among others. Gosling wasn't in attendance at the Ziegfield Theatre for the Wednesday night (5/10) unveiling as he was on set elsewhere, whilst executive producer Leonardo Di Caprio was also absent.
That said, a huge array of stars did turn out for the film, including the likes of Sigourney Weaver, Martha Stewart and Christie Brinkley to name but three, reports The Examiner. Clooney himself was in jovial mood at the premiere, talking to Us Magazine about his private house back on Lake Como, Italy and his tradition there of making people skinny dip in the lake. "[Skinny dipping] is a tradition at my house!" the 50-year-old said, furthering "It's funny. Some people skinny dip, but I always go upstairs and put a suit on and then I jump in the lake." The star also confirmed co-star Tomei's comments to Conan O Brien that 'The Ides Of March,' stars had even got involved; the actress had said, "Charlie Rose can be hot. [He, Evan Rachel Wood and I] had some hijinks over there," she said. "We would all end up skinny dipping!"
