Starr's Drum To Become Museum Exhibit

RINGO STARR is set for a very special honour to mark his upcoming 70th birthday - the gold-plated drum he bashed on the BEATLES' 1964 U.S. tour is to become a museum item in New York.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art will display the snare drum as part of a special exhibition honouring his big birthday on 7 July (10).
The instrument, which was presented to Starr by the Ludwig Drum Company in Chicago, Illinois, will be on view to museum visitors from the rocker's birthday to the end of the year.
