Starr: 'I Didn't Rate Sgt Pepper's'
The LP is hailed by many as the band's greatest and critics have described it as their most influential - but it falls low on a list of the drummer's proudest achievements.
Speaking of the album - which was first released on 1 June 1967 - Starr says, "It served its purpose. But as a musician I preferred Revolver and I preferred the White Album because we were back to being musicians. It was like everybody got their madness out in Sergeant Pepper."
