The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has clung on to the top spot at the U.K. box office in its second week of release.
The action sequel, starring Andrew Garfield as the web-slinging superhero, netted $5.2 million (£3.3 million) over the weekend (25-27Apr14), holding off new release The Other Woman, which made $4.1 million (£2.6 million).
Johnny Depp's sci-fi thriller Transcendence raked in $1.7 million (£1.1 million) in its first weekend in cinemas to land in third, and last week's (ends27Apr14) second place, Rio 2, sunk two positions to fourth, with $1.4 million (£882,000).
The top five was rounded out by Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which took $926,000 (£579,000).
The actor will have his fifth outing as the secret agent in 'Spectre' this November.
