Spice Girls - Spice Girls Celebrate Wannabe Anniversary

Former members of the Spice Girls have come together to celebrate the 15-year anniversary of their first single release.
The girl group shot to fame in the summer of 1996 with the launch of its debut track Wannabe, which was released on 8 July in the band's native Britain. It went on to be a chart hit all over the world, propelling the pop stars to international stardom.
Members of the group marked the 15-year anniversary of the release of Wannabe on Thursday (08Jul11) by reaching out to fans via Twitter.com and thanking them for their support.
Melanie Brown wrote, "On behalf of Spice Girls I just wanna thank all our amazing spice fans for 15 years of loyal support, from Wannabe to this day I love you all!" while Emma Bunton exclaimed, "A big thank u 2 (sic) all our fans who have been with us from the start!!"
Melanie Chisholm adds, "15 years since Wannabe was released in the U.K.! Wow!"
