Spears Sets Twitter Record With 5 Million Followers
BRITNEY SPEARS has crushed all competition on Twitter.com - the pop princess has become the first person on the social networking site to garner more than 5 million followers.
The Toxic hitmaker overtook actor Ashton Kutcher, the first member to reach one million supporters, as the most popular celebrity on the forum last week (begs24May10), but she set a new record by Saturday (29May10) with a fan following of 5,015,346.
And Spears has already been thanking fans for their support - she invited devotees to send in their questions via her Twitter blog and she responded to them throughout the week.
