Soundgarden - Soundgarden To Relive Glory Days With Reunion Tour
Soundgarden started their reunion tour at Toronto's Molson Amphitheatre on Saturday (02.07.11) in front of 16,000 fans.
Soundgarden have kicked off their reunion tour.
The band - who are made up of lead singer and guitarist Chris Cornell, lead guitarist Kim Thayil, drummer Matt Cameron and bassist Ben Shepherd - performed an energetic greatest hits gig at Toronto's Molson Amphitheatre in front of 16,000 fans on Saturday (02.07.11).
The 'Black Hole Sun' rockers - who split up in 1997 - took to the stage at the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario on Sunday, with US metal group Coheed and Cambria opening the concert with 40-minutes of thrashing guitars.
Soundgarden - whose last album was their 1996 effort 'Down on the Upside', which reached number two in the US Billboard 200 chart - are working on a new record, which is thought to be planned for release sometime in 2012.
Earlier this month, Kim revealed the forthcoming album will sound "similar in a sense to 'Down on the Upside'".
