Representing a significant blow to Sony in general and to its Blu-ray
high-definition DVD system in particular, the company announced today
(Wednesday) that it has been forced to delay the launch of PlayStation 3 until
November while it finds way to upgrade the copy-protection feature of its
Blu-ray technology. Toshiba is expected to launch its first DVD players
compatible with HD-DVD, which is competing with Sony's Blu-ray.
The album is the first in history to chart without selling a single copy.
