Solange Knowles not interested in fashion

Solange Knowles is not ''that interested'' in fashion.

The singer/songwriter - who is the younger sister of Beyonce Knowles - often appears on best-dressed lists and is a regular at high-profile fashion shows but insists she has never followed trends.

Speaking in an interview with Lurve Magazine, she said: ''I've never really been that interested in 'fashion'.

''Look at my fashion choices back in the day. You know how people say 'Who let her walk out the house that way?' or 'She needs more people!' ''

However, Solange - who has modelled for Beyonce and their mother Tina's clothing line House of Dereon, as well as in advertising campaigns for Giorgio Armani's younger line Armani Jeans - admits she has been having a ''lot of fun'' in the fashion world.

She added: ''Once I really defined my expectations in terms of how to navigate through the fashion world without getting myself too invested, I've had a hell of a lot of fun.''

Most recently, Solange has been signed up to front American clothing label Madewell.
