Sofia Vergara - Sofia Vergara Celebrates 40th Birthday In Mexico

The Colombian beauty, who officially hits her 40s on Tuesday (10Jul12), took some time out of her busy schedule to relax with her son Manolo and boyfriend Nick Loeb at the Rosewood Mayakoba spa resort in the Riviera Maya.

Boarding a chartered private plane on Thursday (05Jul12), Vergara posted an image of herself and the happy jet-setters on Twitter.com alongside a caption which read, "Here we come Mexico lindo (lovely) !!! My happy birth day (sic) trip is about to start!!!"

During their stay, Vergara and Loeb, who briefly split in May (12), visited popular tourist attraction Fort San Miguel in Campeche and a source tells Eonline.com, "They were holding hands, they looked really cute."

Vergara's relatives, as well as actress pals Eva Longoria and Jessica Alba, were also expected to fly in and join the party over the weekend (07-08Jul12), according to the New York Post.

In lieu of gifts, the kind-hearted actress asked that donations be made to her charity Dreams Without Borders.
