The producers behind 'The Social Network' have been hired to work on 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.
Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti have been appointed to tackle the movie, which is based on the raunchy novel series by E.L. James.
Universal Pictures and Focus Features said in a joint statement: ''At its core, 'Fifty Shades of Grey' is a complex love story, requiring a delicate and sophisticated hand to bring it to the big screen.
''Mike and Dana's credits more than exemplify what we need in creative partners, and we're glad to have them as part of our team.''
No one has yet been cast in the film - which follows young college graduate Anastasia Steele's relationship with manipulative billionaire Christian Grey - but Ryan Gosling, Chris Pine and Ian Somerhalder have all been tipped for the male lead.
'American Psycho' author Bret Easton Ellis recently put himself forward to write the screenplay and suggested David Cronenberg could direct the film with Scarlett Johansson or Kristen Stewart in the role of Anastasia.
In a series of tweets which have now been deleted, he wrote: ''I'm putting myself out there to write the movie adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey...
''This is not a joke. Christian Grey and Ana: potentially great cinematic characters.''
