Snoop Dogg Pens Song About Favourite Food

Snoop Dogg is so obsessed with HotPockets he has written a song about them called 'Pocket Like It's Hot'.

The rapper - who recently changed his name to Snoop Lion while he pursues a reggae career - is going back to his hip-hop Roots for the new composition in honour of his favourite microwavable treats which he can't get enough of.

A source exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ''Snoop is obsessed with HotPockets and makes sure he has a stash of them at all times. He is a huge fan and he decided to write this ode to them which is similar to his hit 'Drop It Like It's Hot'.''

HotPockets have set up a stand in the gifting suite at the MTV Video Music Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and celebrities who stop by will be given a mini MP3 player on which they will be able to listen to Snoop's new song.

Earlier this year Snoop revealed he now considers himself a Rastafarian after what he calls a life-changing trip to Jamaica, and is also releasing a documentary about his rebirth.

Both the album and film are called 'Reincarnated.'

The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards will air on Friday (07.09.12) at 9pm on MTV UK, Sky 126 and Virgin 311
