Snoop Dogg - Snoop Dogg Happy For Kids To Pursue Fame
Rapper Snoop Dogg has no qualms about his children pursuing careers in the entertainment industry because they have seen the "uncut version" of fame during his time in the spotlight.
The Drop It Like It's Hot hitmaker's son Cordell has a sports scholarship from University of California, Los Angeles (Ucla), while his daughter Cori has been carving out a music career for herself, and the hip-hop star is happy for his kids to chase their dreams.
Speaking on U.S. Tv show Piers Morgan Tonight, he says, "I used to have to pay to make (Cordell) play football back in the days. Now he loves football. He's giving me all he can give me. So I'm loving that. My baby girl, Cori B, she's singing and doing her thing and having fun. She just did her cover of the Taylor Swift song Trouble with her friend Gabby. It's a beautiful song out on YouTube right now.
"I feel like they've been spooned and groomed by being around me and me giving them the uncut version (of fame), as opposed to just hiding it and keeping it away from them. I've showed them from day one.
"Fame is definitely a lethal drug. You have to know how to contain it and know how to not abuse it, because it can get the best of you. You can expect too much out of it. Because fame is meant to last for 15 minutes, but some of us know how to make it last a little longer. But at the same time, you can't let it get the best of you."
