Snl Beats Everything In Primetime

It's hard to determine whether its a testament to its own quality or to the lack of quality of primetime shows that air on Saturday night, but NBC's Saturday Night Live , which begins at 11 30 p.m. drew bigger ratings on Saturday than any non-sports show airing on the four major TV networks that night. The show, which featured Robert De Niro (performing in drag for one of his sketches), Ben Stiller, Diddy, and Andy Samberg, received a drubbing from viewers posting instant comments on entertainment websites. De Niro's performance was particularly singled out for criticism, with one viewer writing on the TVbytheNumbers.com website, "I can usually watch SNL but De Niro struggled so much with cue cards that it was like watching a guy die on open mike night over... and over... and over..."
