Smokey Robinson - Smokey Robinson Plans Spanish Album
Smokey Robinson is putting his recent Spanish lessons to good use on a new foreign-language album.
The Tears of a Clown singer is planning to record his next album entirely in Spanish.
He tells Billboard.com, "I've been studying Spanish for the last three or four years, so I'm actually writing the songs, and I'm going to record some traditional Spanish music, too... I'm looking forward to doing the Spanish record and getting into something that's different for me."
He's not the only crooner looking to impress with his language skills - Tony Bennett recently announced plans to record his next Duets album in Spanish with a host of Latino stars.
Robinson has also announced plans for a 2012 Christmas album.
