Smokey Robinson - Smokey Robinson: 'I Feel Sorry For Dr. Murray'

Soul icon Smokey Robinson feels sorry for Michael Jackson's embattled personal physician DR. Conrad Murray, insisting he believes the doctor merely wanted to be around the King of Pop.
Robinson feels sure Dr. Murray was only doing what Jackson told him to do, and unfortunately that may have involved administering the fatal dose of anaesthetic Propofol which cost the singer his life in June, 2009.
Speaking to news show Access Hollywood backstage at Saturday's (08Oct11) Michael Forever tribute concert in Wales, the Tears of a Clown singer said, "I just think it’s tragic. I think it’s a tragedy. I feel sorry, in a way, for the doctor... He was just so happy to be around Michael Jackson, and to do whatever Michael said whenever Michael said it."
The Michael Forever concert offered fans and Jackson family members a break from the Murray manslaughter trial in Los Angeles. The doctor faces jail time if he's found guilty. The trial recommences on Tuesday (11Oct11) following America's Columbus Day holiday.

Seriously? Michael wanted reckless administration of propofol without monitoring or resuscitation equipment? Somebody please tell me he didn't say that! There is ample evidence that he wanted to be properly monitored as reflected in the hiring of a doctor to care for him and as Nurse Cherilyn Lee has described. Be very cautious of people like Dr. Murray who are good at making you feel sorry for them. People who are good at manipulating others through pity are used to getting away with murder.

Mr. Robinson, You feel sorry for Dr. Murray. You must be joking. How about hearing the evidence and the FACTS, before making such a foolish comment.

Are you kidding me? Smokey Robinson whom Michael idolized said this? And with his children at that concert? Smokey- what were you thinking? This is a betrayal to a friend. This physician was reckless and money hungry. Don't you get that he killed Michael Jackson and tried to cover it up? Unbelievable! Why would you say something that will surely get back to Michael's children? How careless.
