Slash: 'Guns N' Roses Won't Be Playing At Hall Of Fame Induction'

Rocker Slash has dismissed rumours the original members of GUNS N' ROSES will reunite at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction next month (Apr12).

Axl Rose, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff MCKagan, Steven Adler and Dizzy Reed are all believed to be attending the event in Cleveland, Ohio on 14 April, but the offer to reunite onstage was declined by the guitarist.

His comments are sure to spark disappointment from fans desperate to see the legendary rockers perform together again, but Slash has been caught unaware of the hype surrounding the induction.

He says, "Either it hasn't hit me yet or maybe it's been so long since I had anything to do with Guns N' Roses that I just don't really get it. And we're not playing. I would imagine that they asked us to play but I know that we're not playing."

However, former drummer Matt Sorum still hasn't given up hope of the group performing an impromptu set on the night.

Sorum, who replaced Adler in 1989, tells Billboard.com, "We're all sitting at the same table, so it should be cool. After we get a little bit of food in us, hopefully someone will get up and want to play, but I don't know. I'm not the guy to ask. I just hope it works out."

Slash and Guns N' Roses frontman Rose haven't performed together since 1993.
