Slash And Lemmy Statue Campaign
Fans of British rock legends SLASH and LEMMY are campaigning to have the stars immortalised with statues in their hometown.
An online petition has been launched in a bid to persuade officials to honour the former Guns N' Roses star and the Motorhead frontman in the city of Stoke-on-Trent, England.
Slash grew up in the region before moving to America with his family when he was 11 years old, while Lemmy was born there in 1945.
The web campaign, launched by Staffordshire University graduate Nile Plumb, has already drawn support from 400 fans and is growing rapidly on social networking site Facebook.com.
Plumb says, "There's a lot of interest and people really want to get behind it".
