Sky Ferreira - Sky Ferreira Struggling With Illness On Tour

Pop star Sky Ferreira battled through illness to perform for fans in New York on Wednesday (20Mar13), after a sore throat forced her to cancel a gig earlier this week (begs18Mar13).

The Everything Is Embarrassing singer has been fighting an ear and throat infection since she was struck down with a fever last weekend (16Mar13) and she had no choice but to axe a live show in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday (19Mar13), after failing to recover in time.

She pressed ahead with a concert at the Big Apple's Bowery Ballroom on Wednesday, but warned fans she wouldn't be singing at her best.

At the start of the gig, she told the audience, "I couldn't speak until this morning - bear with me!"

Ferreira managed to complete the set with a little help from fans after struggling to hit the high notes for her track Sad Dream.

The singer is expected to continue her tour as expected and she is due to perform in Brooklyn, New York on Thursday night (21Mar13).
