Sir Patrick Stewart is terrified of acting out fight scenes on stage as he has been injured when co-stars have "lost control" during a performance.
The Star Trek actor, 71, has carved out a successful career in the theatre alongside his film and TV work, and he has revealed he feels much safer when filming violent scenes for the screen than on the stage.
Stewart also admits he has suffered numerous injuries in the theatre when choreographed sequences go wrong.
He tells Britain's Radio Times, "I hate fight scenes - they frighten me more than anything. I have been unlucky enough to work with one or two crazy actors in my time and I have often been hurt when they lose control.
"I would be happy never to do another stage fight again in my life. On TV and film everything feels very safe and properly done whereas on stage you find yourself alone on stage with a battleaxe wielding actor when the red mist descends over his eyes and there is nothing you can do."
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
