Mick Jagger - Sir Mick Jagger's New Supergroup Never Rehearsed
Sir Mick Jagger found working with his supergroup a totally new experience - because the band never rehearsed or met properly before they started writing material.
The Rolling Stone has formed SuperHeavy with Dave Stewart, singer Joss Stone, Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman and reggae superstar Damian Marley.
And Jagger insists the creative process was a change from working with his legendary band, revealing they didn't practise together before recording.
He says, "It was very different because we didn't know the people really well, we didn't rehearse and we didn't have songs written. We just sort of sat there, looked at each other and started playing."
And Stone is adamant the non-rigid recording sessions created the best songs, adding, "That's why I love that one because it was just a jam and we just kind of made it up as we went along and the lyrics sometimes went with the melody at the same time."
