Mick Jagger - Sir Mick Jagger: 'Rolling Stones Asked Security Guards To Step Aside When Filming Shows'

Sir Mick Jagger has revealed the Rolling Stones concert movies don't reflect the chaos at the front of their shows - because security staff were often asked to vacate the stage area so they wouldn't appear on camera.
In a new interview accompanying the group's newly-released Some Girls Live in Texas '78, the rocker admits it was common to ask burly bouncers to step aside when the Stones were on film.
He explains, "Maybe for the filming we got rid of the security because it never looks good... They get in the way and they see a camera... and they want to be in the shot.
"Probably, (promoter) Bill Graham, being clever, got rid of security, which is why you don't see them."
The new Dvd/Blu-Ray concert movie was filmed at a 1978 show in Fort Worth.

The Rolling Stones have enjoyed unparalleled and massive success over the last couple of years. Consider the facts: Susan Boyle’s debut album I Dreamed a Dream features the Stones’ classic Wild Horses. The album sold over Nine (9) million copies world wide. Next, the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops features two Stones classics, Gimme Shelter and Sympathy for the Devil. The game has sold over 25 million copies worldwide. Then came Exile On Main Street reissue, it goes to # 1 in U.K and # 2 in U.S. The Some Girls reissue is doing Respectable (pun intended) business. Add in this nugget: The Rolling Stones are still the most successful touring band in history. In totality, no other artist or entertainers have sold more concert tickets, made more money, or played to more people than the Rolling Stones. Best selling books like Keith Richards’ Life and homage songs such as Maroon 5’s Moves Like Jagger, keep the Rolling Stones, after nearly fifty years on, at the top of the music world.
