Australian singer Vanessa Amorosi has cancelled a concert in Melbourne after falling from a horse in a riding accident.
The 30-year-old singer/songwriter was injured while riding at her home in the city on Wednesday (22Feb12), and was taken to hospital by friends.
She was discharged 12 hours later, but subsequently returned to the medical facility after feeling unwell at home.
Amorosi, who is currently undergoing tests, is expected to spend the rest of the week under the care of doctors, and she has now cancelled her upcoming concert at Melbourne Zoo on Saturday (25Feb12).
She says in a statement, "I am really sorry to everyone who was coming to the... show. I was really looking forward to performing to you all in such a great environment, especially as this was planned to be my last Melbourne show before heading back to Los Angeles."
'Smalls Change (Meditations Upon Ageing)' arrives in April.
The two awards have made for a great 72nd birthday present for the country music icon.
