Kimberley Walsh - Singer Kimberley Walsh Releasing Autobiography
British pop star Kimberley Walsh is set to release her memoirs, less than three months after insisting she had no interest in sharing her life story.
The singer, 31, previously stated she had no plans to follow in the literary footsteps of her Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl Cole, who lifted the lid on her career and personal life in last year's (12) Cheryl: My Story.
She said, "I really don't feel it's something I would ever want to do... I always wanted to keep a bit of myself back and I think I've managed to find that balance. I'd never want to feel like I was exposed."
However, Walsh appears to have had a change of heart following the girl group's split in March (13).
Announcing the book news on Twitter.com on Tuesday (09Apr13), she writes, "I am very excited to announce that I will be releasing my official autobiography in September!"
Walsh has yet to reveal details about the topics her memoirs will cover, but it's likely to include chapters about her big break as a contestant on Britain's Popstars: The Rivals reality show, which led to the formation of Girls Aloud, the band's subsequent split, her long-term relationship with Triple 8 boyband singer Justin Scott and her marijuana smoking controversy in 2006, when she was caught puffing on a spliff.
