Singer Friedman's Second Political Run

American cult country singer and satirist RICHARD S. 'KINKY' FRIEDMAN is planning a second bid to become governor of his homestate of Texas next year (10).
The singing Democrat, who toured in the 1970s with Bob Dylan, lost the race in 2006 when he ran as an Independent against Republican Rick Perry.
His colourful campaign included the slogans, "How Hard Could It Be?", "Why The Hell Not?", "My Governor is a Jewish Cowboy" and "He ain't Kinky, he's my Governor".
This time around Friedman plans a more low-key bid, telling the New York Post, "I'm toning down the one-liners a bit."
