Sinead O'connor sang at a show on Friday (01.07.11) with long hair.
The Irish singer - who is known for having a shaved or cropped head of hair for the majority of her career - looked almost unrecognisable with long, tousled hair and a fringe as she sang her iconic 'Nothing Compares 2 U' song at the Manchester International Festival Pavilion Theatre.
The 44-year-old star - who was also wearing a trouser-suit - performed songs from her latest album 'Home'.
She once said: "I don't feel like me unless I have my hair shaved. So even when I'm an old lady I'm going to have it."
In the video for her cover of Prince's 'Nothing Compares 2 U', Sinead is featured with a bald head and sheds a tear at the end of the clip.
She has previously put the reason for her tears down to the complicated relationship she shared with her late mum.
