Simpson Mum's Marriage Joke With Press
Jessica Simpson's mother TINA has informed journalists her daughter has married for a second time - with a mischievous smile on her face.
Simpson and her mother were leaving Los Angeles restaurant Chili's when Tina revealed her daughter had secretly married her longtime boyfriend American football star Tony Romo.
The pair have been inseparable for months, prompting speculation they have already taken their relationship to the next level.
Tina cheekily told TMZ.com, "Jessica is already married to Tony! What are you talking about?"
Jessica, who was previously married to singer Nick Lachey, giggled, adding, "Well I guess if my mom said it, it must be true!"
Earlier this year (08), Romo admitted he was thinking about marrying Jessica - but not yet.
The Dallas Cowboys quarterback insisted they were happy as they were, telling People magazine: "I mean, it's just rumours. That's what people say.
"I'm sure I'll get married one day. I don't know when."
