Simon Pegg - Simon Pegg Conquers Fear Of Spiders

The star, father to two year old Matilda, has worked on overcoming his arachnophobia since her birth in 2009 and is proud of his ability to protect his child and wife Maureen from spiders.

Pegg tells ShortList magazine, "I used to be frightened of spiders, but you have to man up. Since I've had kids I've realised there's no room for irrational fear because you have to be the first line of defence. I'm the spider-catcher in the house now, the alpha male, so I can't be running around screaming at these many-legged things."
