Icelandic rockers SIGUR ROS are set to head back into the studio - after scrapping all the work completed for their new album.
The group was said to have been near completing a follow-up to 2008's Meo suo i eyrum vio spilum endalaust last May (09) - but they've started over after throwing out a number of tracks.
Frontman Jonsi Birgisson tells SpinnerMusic.co.uk, "We haven't got another album ready - It was just a rumour. We started to record something, but then we chucked it all away. So I think we are going to have to start it all again."
Birgisson has also warned fans they may be in for a long wait before they hear new music from the band, adding: "We are on a break at the moment. Everybody in the band is having babies."
