Sienna Miller is set to star in tragic drama 'Foxcatcher'.
The 30-year-old actress will play the wife of Olympic wrestler Dave Schultz in Bennett Miller's upcoming adaptation of a real-life accident.
The plot centres around multimillionaire John du Pont (Steve Carell) who suffered from paranoid schizophrenia attacks and tragically shot his friend Dave Schultz (Mark Ruffalo) during one of his episodes in 1996.
It emerged during John's trial that he had believed his long-time friend and Olympic gold-medallist Dave was part of an international conspiracy plot to kill him.
Steve Carell will play the stamp-collecting, bird-watching wealthy heir who built a wrestling training facility called Team Foxcatcher on his 800-acre Pennsylvania estate.
Sienna has been cast as Nancy, who apparently witnessed John shooting her husband.
Channing Tatum is also on board to play David's younger brother, Mark Schultz.
Dan Futterman and E Max Fry have penned the script for 'Moneyball' director Bennett Miller to work from.
Filming will begin at the end of October in Pittsburgh.
Sienna can next be seen in Hitchcock TV movie 'The Girl' and romantic comedy 'A Case of You'.
