Professor Green - Sick Professor Green Pulls Festival Slot After Hospitalisation
British rapper Professor Green pulled out of a festival performance in England over the weekend (29-31Jul11) after he was hospitalised following a meningitis scare.
The I Need You Tonight hitmaker told fans last week (begs25Jul11) he was suffering tonsillitis for the third time this year (11) and his symptoms became so bad on Thursday (28Jul11), he feared the worst and sought medical advice.
A doctor prescribed Green strong painkillers and, as a result, he axed his slot at the Global Gathering festival in Stratford-Upon-Avon on Friday night (29Jul11).
In a post on Twitter.com, the star wrote, "So gutted I can't perform at global... Tonsils are the bane of my life at the moment! Sick of getting sick. Chronic tonsillitis stinks. I've never pulled a live gig before, I feel so s**t about having to do it.
"Severe bout of tonsillitis, ended up in hospital to rule out meningitis and throat abscess. Not brilliant."
