Chris Cornell - Sick Chris Cornell Scraps Solo Show

The rocker, who recently relaunched Soundgarden with a new tour, was due to perform at the city's War Memorial Auditorium, but the concert was called off after the star fell ill.

Cornell has apologised to fans and revealed he caught a nasty bug from his children, writing in a post on his Twitter.com page, "Caught cold from my kids - have larayngitis (sic) - so sorry to Nashville fans - will make it up to u as soon as I can."

A statement posted on the rocker's website reads, "Due to illness, tonight's Chris Cornell's show at War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville, TN has been postponed. A new date will be announced as soon as possible."
