Actor ANDREW SHUE found it difficult to keep his composure on the set of his new movie GRACIE, because the storyline reminded him so much of his late brother, WILLIAM.
Shue came up with the idea for the film, about a girl in New Jersey who starts to play soccer on an all-boys team, with his actress sister Elizabeth, and credits his late sibling as his inspiration for the plot.
But the former Melrose Place star, who plays Coach Owen Clark in the movie, found the experience hard because it constantly reminded him of the loss of his brother, who had been a soccer ace in high school.
He says, "It is a personal film, and the memories in it are a little bit sacred to us. But it was a family decision, and it is important for us to tell the story."
William Shue died in 1988, aged 26, when he fell from a tree on a family vacation.
