02 March 2010The Tribeca Film Festival will open on April 21 with the world premiere of 'Shrek Forever After', the fourth movie about the world's most famous ogre.

The fourth Shrek movie will open the Tribeca Film Festival.
The annual New York festival - which was founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff in response to the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center - is set to begin with the opening of the highly successful animated movie, Access Hollywood reports.
The film, which features the voices of stars such as Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz and Antonio Banderas, is set to be released in May.
It is being advertised as the final chapter in the series of the movies , and will also be the first released in 3-D.
The ninth annual Tribeca Film Festival, which was created in response to the consequent loss of vitality in the Manhattan neigHBOurhood following the terrorist attacks, runs until May 2.
