Sheryl Crow: Brain Tumor Is Just A 'Bump In The Road'
Crow - still one of the biggest names in country music - revealed how she discovered the tumor months ago. Although she doesn't need surgery, the musician confirmed that she will have scans to monitor the growth. She reassured fans on her Facebook page, saying, "Please don't worry about my 'brain tumour,' it's a noncancerous growth. I know some folks can have problems with this kind of thing, but I want to assure everyone I'm OK". Crow's representative said the tumor was a "meningioma" - a common and typically benign tumor that develops from the protective linings of the brain and the spinal cord. The country star - currently on a nationwide tour of the United States - battled breast cancer several years back, while her husband - Tour de France star Lance Armstrong - also fought cancer.
Crow - who has two children - made headlines earlier this year after forgetting the words to her biggest hit 'Soak Up The Sun', while performing on-stage in Florida. At the time, she joked "I'm 50. What can I say!".
