Sharon Osbourne - Sharon Osbourne In Tears Over Jack's Ms Diagnosis
Sharon Osbourne broke down in tears on live television this week, while discussing her son Jack Osbourne's multiple sclerosis diagnosis. Jack, 26, was found to have the incurable disease after a bout of ill health that saw him lose 60 per cent of the vision in his right eye.
Discussing the diagnosis on her US chat show 'The Talk', Sharon said she was devastated for her son, who has just become a father for the first time, welcoming daughter Clementine Pearl with fiancee Lisa Stelly. After welling up with tears, Osbourne explained, "And what I'm doing right now is not helping because I'm just feeling sorry for myself, and that is no good". Jack and his family first announced news of the diagnosis in an interview with Hello! magazine, in which the 'Adrenaline Junkie' star said he'd experienced a range of emotions, saying, "While I was waiting for the final results, I got really, really angry. Then I got really sad for about two days, and after that I realised, being angry and upset is not going to do anything at this point - if anything it's only going to make it worse. 'Adapt and overcome' is my new motto".
Jack's father Ozzy Osbourne - who has suffered with tremors for years - was diagnosed with Parkin Syndrome in 2005, the symptoms of which are similar to Parkinson's disease. The rocker takes daily mediation to combat the involuntary shudders.
