Jailed fashion designer Anand Jon Alexander has been sentenced to serve five years in prison for sexually assaulting an aspiring model.
The style guru, whose celebrity clients have included Paris Hilton and Mary J. Blige, was convicted in 2008 on 16 charges of sexually assaulting girls and young women. He was ordered to serve 59 years to life in prison in California.
And on Thursday (14Feb13) he returned to court, this time in New York, to answer to charges he preyed on a woman he offered modelling work to, pleading guilty to one count of criminal sexual act.
But to spare the victim the pain of testifying, prosecutors cut a deal with the Indian-born couturier, who also appeared on U.S. Tv show America's Next Top Model.
According to the Associated Press, Alexander's sentence amounts to time served.
