Shakira Launches Second Fragrance

Shakira has launched a second fragrance, S by Shakira Eau Florale.

The Colombian singer created her own perfume S by Shakira last year and has now decided on a "more gentle and romantic" take on her signature scent.

She said: "I wanted to find a way to express The Feeling of pure happiness through the medium of fragrance."

The perfume has been described as a modern floral scent optimistic energy, full of feminine sensuality.

Shakira - who wanted a simple fragrance that leaves a strong impression - created the perfume with the help of expert perfumer Elisabeth Vidal.

S by Shakira was recently beaten in the Broad Appeal (Women) category at the FiFi Awards by Halle by Halle Berry.

Speaking about the accolade last month, Halle said: I truly believe that fragrance makes women feel beautiful and confident."

"For years I have created my own personal scents by mixing and layering fragrances, trying to come up with something unique and different. It's a wonderful form of self-expression and I am thrilled to share these fragrances with consumers worldwide."
