The Indian actor was awarded a degree by officials at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland on Thursday (16Oct15) for his contribution to film and his tireless charity work.

During the ceremony, he gave a speech about the lessons he has learned in life, and cited plots from several of his films including My Name Is Khan, before asking the "bored professors out there in the first row" to join him as he recreated the 'Lungi Dance' routine from Chennai Express.

He was then joined onstage by five female dancers to perform the energetic routine, thrilling the assembled students who clapped and cheered him on.

Khan told the audience he was "extremely humbled" to be given an honorary doctorate and vowed to carry out even more charity work to earn the degree "at least in retrospect", according to NDTV.com.
