Rebecca Hall is in negotiations to take the lead role in 'Shadow Dancer'.

The 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' star has entered talks to play the role of a former Irish Republican Army terrorist who becomes an informer to the British secret service.

However, her loyalties are tested with her family - who are deeply involved with the terrorist group, leading to problems for her and those around dher.

The movie, based on the novel by Tom Bradby, is due to be directed by 'Man on Wire' filmmaker James Marsh.

'Shadow Dancer' has already gone into pre-production, and it is unclear if the film will begin shooting during or after Rebecca's upcoming stint at the National Theatre in London where she is starring in Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night'

The 28-year-old actress recently took a starring role in Ben Affleck's 'The Town', and will next year appear in World War I drama 'The Awakening' alongside Imelda Staunton and Dominic West.
